The gas like qualities of the supercritical fluids provide ideal conditions for extracting analyses with a high degree of recovery in a very short time. The fluid is stable and is environmentally safe because no waste is produced. Bacteriostatic conditions are reached during the process, with exclusion of atmospheric oxygen and limitation of oxidative reactions. Carbon dioxide is a solvent generally recognized as safe (GRAS status) for the production of food ingredients by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), readily available and cheap at high purity.

Capacity

• The facility has 2 X 200 liters extractors, two separators 145 liters and 125 liters respectively.
• The production capacity is about 350 to 400 Metric tons of raw material input per annum on three-shift basis.
• The current plant is designed only for the extraction of raw material in solid form .(20 mesh to 40 mesh).
